Community
Support Appreciated
Dear
Editor:
On
behalf of board and staff of Historic Fincastle, Inc.,
I am writing to thank the community for their support
of the HFI Ladies Luncheon and Forum on Saturday, March
15, 2008. Approximately 75 ladies, gentlemen, and HFI
committee members attended the event held at the Attic
Productions Theatre where a delicious meal prepared
by Three Li’l Pigs Restaurant was enjoyed. This
was followed by an informative presentation on the new
Taubman Museum of Art by Georganne Bingham, Executive
Director, and a question and answer session with the
audience.
Our
sincere appreciation is extended to the three major
supporters for the luncheon, Bank of Botetourt, Roanoke
Gas Company, and Helen Hubler Drawings & Fine Oil
Paintings. In addition, special friends who contributed
in many different ways include: The Bank of Fincastle,
Merle Norman – Daleville, Digital Image Printing,
Three Li’l Pigs Restaurant, Lyons Jewelers, Botetourt
Mulch & Landscaping, Botetourt Chamber of Commerce,
White Oak Tea Tavern, Old Trinity School House &
Quilt Shop, Kroger – Daleville; Art Images, Inc.
Fincastle Drugs & Sundries, The Fincastle Herald,
Roanoke Times – Neighbors Section, WDBJ TV, Pete’s
Deli, Cahoon’s Florist, Advanced Art Students
& Teachers at Lord Botetourt High School, Fincastle
Presbyterian Church, and all other individuals who loaned
their card tables and chairs for the luncheon.
Finally,
the HFI Ladies Luncheon & Forum Committee deserves
much recognition for their dedicated hard work in planning
and executing the new and exciting event: Karen Shriver,
Lyn Burton – Catering and Desserts; Cassandra
Bulmer –Publicity; Melodye Hollingsworth and Sandy
Stokes – Technical Support; Betty Luber &
Mack Bullard - Decorations and Ambience; Rosemary &
Ray Thomas and Nancy & Pete Adamson – Logistics;
Gretchen Greiner and Pam Thacker – Marketing;
Pete and Freda Wood and Pete Thacker, Food Services,
Kip Burton, Special Services. We also wish to acknowledge
the support and assistance of the Attic Productions
Theatre Board and volunteers, who without their participation,
the event would not have been possible.
To
all we say “thank you” for a job well done!
